VerseDawn is made by one small team. There is no account, and we collect nothing you read or write.
No account, and nothing you read or write. There is no sign-in, no profile and no account. What you read, the mood you pick and your prayers stay on the device — we have no server that could receive them.
Anonymous usage events. So that we can tell whether the app actually works for people, the app sends a small set of anonymous events to Google Analytics for Firebase: that a screen was opened, which plan was tapped, whether a purchase completed, and whether the widget was stopped by the subscription wall. These events never contain text you have read or written, and no name or email address — there is no account to attach them to. They also carry no advertising identifier and no Android device ID: both collection switches are turned off inside the app, and the advertising-ID permission is removed from the build. Google processes these events for us.
Your purchase. Subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Play tells the app only whether this Google account has an active subscription. We never see your payment details.
Three things are saved on your phone and nowhere else: the background you chose, the mood you picked, and whether music plays during prayer. They are deleted when you uninstall the app. We cannot see them. The analytics SDK additionally keeps a random app-instance identifier on the device (section 1) — it is not tied to you and it is not an advertising identifier.
Google Play handles subscriptions, if you take one. Google is the merchant of record and processes payment, renewals and refunds; we receive an anonymous purchase token so the app can tell whether a subscription is active. We never receive your name, email address or Google account identifier. Google's handling of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Our web host keeps standard request logs for this website only, for security and abuse prevention. The app makes no network requests of its own beyond the anonymous analytics events described in section 1.
VerseDawn is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 13 and over, matching the target audience declared on Google Play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The mood selector is a way to choose what to read, not a health assessment. If you are struggling, please talk to a qualified professional.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
